Ligenesis supports women’s health and aesthetics centre development
A life-course women’s health model can help maternal and child health institutions respond to demographic and service changes.
Falling birth rates are reshaping demand for maternal and child health services. While some institutions face lower delivery volumes, women are paying greater attention to postnatal care, reproductive health, intimate wellness, skin health and whole-life health management.
Large hospitals and community maternal-health institutions face different pressures: tertiary hospitals manage higher-risk pregnancies with limited staff and space, while primary institutions may have underused clinical teams and ageing equipment. Older maternal age also increases the need for coordinated prevention, treatment and recovery services.
The Healthy China strategy and the Programme for the Development of Chinese Women (2021–2030) call for stronger maternal-health systems and life-course health management. A women’s health and aesthetics centre can extend care beyond pregnancy by integrating gynaecology, rehabilitation, plastic surgery, skin management and reproductive-health services.
The model focuses on preventing recurrence and postnatal or postoperative complications, restoring physiological function, improving skin and body concerns and shortening recovery. Its service matrix can include reproductive health, body contouring, skin treatment, weight management, postnatal rehabilitation and selected traditional Chinese medicine assessments and therapies.
