Hubei vice governor Cheng Yongwen reviews laser-industry development
Ligenesis joined a provincial working meeting focused on innovation, industrial scale and high-quality laser-sector growth.
On 26 November, Hubei vice governor Cheng Yongwen visited Wuhan to review the laser industry and convened the second on-site development meeting. He called for high-quality growth, stronger innovation and cultivation of new productive forces across the province.
The meeting recognised the sector’s emerging coordination mechanisms and the integration of industrial and innovation chains. Government departments and companies were asked to accelerate projects, improve enterprise services, expand market applications and tackle critical core technologies.
Ligenesis chairman Liu Jianjun introduced the company’s roots at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and its development since the former HG Laser medical division adopted the Ligenesis name in 2018. He highlighted established work in respiratory health, women’s health and minimally invasive urology.
Ligenesis will strengthen cooperation with government, clinical and industrial partners, continue investing in research and help expand domestic medical-laser applications while pursuing its mission to improve clinicians’ skills, reduce patient suffering and lower the cost of care.
