Ligenesis passes Hubei specialised-and-innovative enterprise review
The review recognises continued innovation, specialist capability and market competitiveness.
Ligenesis has passed the review for Hubei’s fifth group of specialised and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises. First recognised in 2023, the company traces its medical-laser work to the Laser Equipment Factory of Huazhong University of Technology, founded in 1987.
Its recent milestones include the 2018 Hubei Outstanding Laser Medical Enterprise Award, medical-equipment recommendations and innovation programmes during 2020, and the selection of its Nd:YAG and CO₂ laser systems for the seventh catalogue of outstanding domestic medical equipment in 2021. In 2022, the company received a second prize in the Hubei Science and Technology Progress Awards and enterprise technology-centre recognition.
Ligenesis later joined regional laser-industry quality and innovation initiatives and, in 2026, became secretary unit of the Hubei laser-medical professional committee. The company will continue to connect research, manufacturing and clinical practice around domestic medical-laser technology.
