The 2025 Hubei Laser Medicine Application Forum connects engineering and clinical care
The forum connected optical engineering with clinical teams across urology, respiratory medicine and women’s health.
On 16 August 2025, the fourth Hubei Laser Medicine Application Forum was held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The Hubei Laser Society led the programme with Ligenesis and four major Wuhan teaching hospitals.
Experts reviewed the history and industrial potential of laser medicine in Hubei and discussed how engineering and clinical disciplines can work together to move innovation into healthcare.
Clinical sessions covered minimally invasive urology, vascular treatment, neurological recovery, women’s health, ophthalmic imaging, respiratory intervention and thoracic surgery. Speakers shared both current evidence and practical needs for more precise systems.
The programme highlighted clinical use of Ligenesis platforms, including the Fuhao CO₂ laser in women’s health and the Ligenesis laser knife for airway-tumour ablation. Medical director Liu Yue also presented the company’s new super-pulsed laser technology.
Participants said domestic manufacturers are moving from isolated technical catch-up toward integrated capabilities spanning research, clinical translation and international collaboration. The forum strengthened the network supporting that transition.
