Preparatory meeting for China’s laser medical-device innovation alliance

Government, industry, university and hospital representatives met in Wuhan to prepare a collaborative laser medical-device alliance.

On 3 June 2009, representatives from science and technology authorities, laser companies, universities and hospitals met in Wuhan to prepare a laser medical-device sub-alliance under China’s medical-device technology innovation framework.

The preparatory meeting aimed to connect policy, research, manufacturing and clinical expertise so that laser medical-device innovation could move more efficiently from technical development into healthcare use.
